From the 1940s into the 1990s, PERRY COMO was a warm and welcome presence on television with his long-running, award-winning programs. For much of the same period, Perry also ranked among the biggest-selling male vocalists in America, achieving dozens of hit records such as Till The End Of Time, Catch A Falling Star and Itâs Impossible.
In 1959, he began hosting the weekly Perry Comoâs Kraft Music Hall which later became a series of monthly specials with stellar guest stars. This SPECIAL EDITION presents a rare April 1967 live âIn Living Colorâ broadcast from NBC-TV studios in New York with Perry welcoming rising comic George Carlin along with pop-jazz singer Nancy Wilson and young ballerina Joyce Cuoco. In prime form, Perry sings his latest hit Stop! And Think It Over and other favorites such as A Taste Of Honey, How Beautiful The World Can Be and Dindi in addition to Breezinâ Along With The Breeze and The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelinâ Groovy) with Nancy. Carlin performs his fast-spinning disc jockey routine and the Ray Charles Singers join Perry and cast for a rousing tax day 1967 finale of The Money Tree, Pennies From Heaven and The Best Things In Life Are Free.
